Day 2-Meaning behind your blog name

My blog name is "A Whole New World". I know you've heard the theme song from Aladdin.  Here are the lyrics:

I can show you the world
Shining, shimmering, splendid
Tell me, princess, now when did
You last let your heart decide?

I can open your eyes
Take you wonder by wonder
Over, sideways and under
On a magic carpet ride

A whole new world

A new fantastic point of view
No one to tell us no
Or where to go
Or say we're only dreaming

A whole new world

A dazzling place I never knew
But when I'm way up here
It's crystal clear
That now I'm in a whole new world with you

Now I'm in a whole new world with you

Unbelievable sights
Indescribable feeling
Soaring, tumbling, freewheeling
Through an endless diamond sky

A whole new world

Don't you dare close your eyes
A hundred thousand things to see
Hold your breath - it gets better
I'm like a shooting star
I've come so far
I can't go back to where I used to be

A whole new world

Every turn a surprise
With new horizons to pursue
Every moment red-letter
I'll chase them anywhere
There's time to spare
Let me share this whole new world with you

A whole new world

That's where we'll be
A thrilling chase
A wondrous place
For you and me

That song draws a perfect picture of the past year and a half of my life.  When I first started blogging, I had just graduated from college, married the love of my life, moved to Jackson, and began a career in teaching.  Now if that isn't a "new world" then I don't know what is.

I think the name is still fitting at this point because in the last six months we've moved home to Brookhaven, started new jobs, and bought a house.  Such an exciting fairytale of a life! And the great thing is that the story is still being written!

My mom suggests we just sit still for a few months.  I suppose I agree! Daniel and I have been on the go since we graduated college a year and a half ago.  I think it's time to sit down and take at all in. I give God all the glory for all that he has done to bless my family!

Resting and nesting at home,
Kayla
