I'm just going to get down to business...
1. I rEaLLy wish I was back at the beach where I was this time last week. Ooooohhh, aren't you jealous!
2. I was hoping the trip would re-energize me to HAPPILY make it through the last few weeks of school. But the truth is, everyone is worn out! Like, really! The students are tired of being drilled for MCT2 and quiet frankly, I am tired of drilling them! My students and I will be incredibly happy with that big honkin' test is over!
3. Well, I told the baseball coach I would come watch the 1st round of play-offs today... Go PANTHERS! And the hubby told friends of ours we would come over to their house while the guys watch the NFL draft and the girls ooooooh and ahhhhhhh over their tiny 2 week old baby. Let's be real, I would rather sit in the air conditioned house, holding that precious little baby! But I also want to be true to my word and be a good fan and cheer on the Panthers tonight. Decisions, decisions.
4. Six more school days until MCT2 and 18 more days of school, but who's counting???? ME!
5. I registered for grad school classes last night. To say I'm a little nervous and annoyed that it will consume my entire summer is an understatement. But....... I want to get that degree under my belt!
6. This Monday Daniel and I started counting our calories. My target is less than 1,200 calories per day. I have went over Monday.... and Tuesday.... and Wednesday.... Whoops!
Tomorrow is Friday... bring it on weekend... bring it on!

MidWeek Confessions

* I think I am more excited about Easter Break than my students. I've had a count-down on my Promethean Board all week for our days off on Friday and Monday.
* I've only eaten half of the Reese's Eggs I bought yesterday, so they are not ALL gone. However, I did buy two 6-pack packages. Opps!
* A spiritual confession: I need to be more focused on the meaning of Good Friday and Easter Sunday as opposed to what I am right now. I'm just so looking forward to my time off, hanging out with friends, and attending a wedding that I have not taken the time to acknowledge that God sent his Son to die to forgive ME, a filthy, sinful human-being, so that death will be defeated. Wow! How AMAZING is that that God loves us SO much to send His Son to die for us! So over the next few days I need to be reflected more on the REAL reason for Easter break.
* Speaking of weddings... I will be attending a wedding in Jackson of a girl I taught with in Byram. I hope they recognize me after gaining 9023478298357 pounds. Blah... all these darn Reese's Eggs!
* I still haven't met my new neighbors, but they have STOPPED parking on the grass... maybe they read my blog :) I'll add that to my things to do this long weekend, okay, maybe.
That's all I have! Can you believe all the blogging I've been doing lately?!?!?

Terrific Tuesday
Good news.... I didn't get abducted during the selling on my computer desk! Woohoo! The lady came by, we loaded it (we dropped it on the way to her truck, ops!), and she went on her merry way! Thanks for the encouragement Marley! Since it was a success, and I didn't getting slain in the process, I may try to sell another piece of furniture that is taking up space in the junk room office.
So what makes this Tuesday so terrific?

Marvelous Monday
So I've never sold anything to anyone via internet. I haven't figured EBAY out (more like I haven't really tried). I don't get on ETSY or have an account. But today I sold something. And hopefully by this time tomorrow I will still be alive.
In Brookhaven we have a "Buyers Guide" that's basically a sell-all type of newpaper for the locals. Well, they also have a facebook page. Last night on facebook, I tagged "Buyers Guide" in this picture:
I didn't really think any one would take a nibble at the bait I was throwing out there.
Well, this morning when I woke up, five people already inquired about it. It was like magic! There something sits in your house that you just don't want anymore, nor have space for, and wonder how you can make it disappear and... viola.... that heavy, ole sucker can be gone in just a few short hours!
Now is it safe to salejunk items online? Who knows... probably not. Well it's probably to safe to sell, the delivery can be another story. But this idiot right here ***all fingers on me*** told the buyer she could come to MY HOUSE and pick it up. Now in my naive defense, I did stalk her on facebook. She seems to be in her late 50s/early 60s and has several pictures of her grandchildren. She appears to live one county to the west of Lincoln. And I have one mutual facebook friend in common. It's a girl I used to work with at Sisters By Design. They even share the same last name. So *maybe* it's okay that I told her to come to my house to pick it up.
Here's my plan of action... I'm going to go ahead and have it out on the porch so when she drives up we can just load it in her vehicle and she can be on her merry way. That way she never has to step foot in my house to see my possessions, nor will we ever be out of the view of my neighbors (in case the buyer plans on some verocious wild attack).
And maybe I'm just a tad bit anxious for nothing... the real problem is going to be picking that humongously, heavy piece of furniture up without my hubby's help!
So on this Marvelous Monday I'm in the process of making some cash and getting this crap outta' my house SPRING CLEANING! Whoooo... all in a days work!
